North Texas Giving Day 2022

We have a goal to raise $30,000 so that we can provide Christmas to our families. We know that a cancer diagnosis for your child can be quite overwhelming and we seek to lift the family up by providing for both needs and wants at Christmas. We believe this will allow the family to experience Joy and allow them to focus on caring for their families needs.

We are looking to grow our volunteer team and have various options, both virtual and in person. For those interested, please fill out a volunteer application at:

2022 Goals:

  • Provide 205 Community Support Brave Boxes

  • Serve 35 families, with each family receiving about 15 Brave Boxes each year.

  • Host 8 fundraisers

  • Raise $180,000

Thank you to everyone that joined us for North Texas Giving Day, whether it was in person, on social media, or sending us a note!

We are excited to share that we raised $3,080! That is 10% of our goal. We will continue to raise funds to provide Christmas for families affected by Childhood Cancer.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 2022

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and has a lot of meaning to us at Brave like  Ellie! You see, we HATE cancer. We hate all the negativity that it brings to this world. We want to see a cure NOW!

Childhood Cancer Awareness Shirts

This month we will be sharing more of the UGLY truths about cancer in kids. This is one time of year when we bring truths that we dislike the most to the surface. We believe in the POWER of coming together, Sharing, and Partnering together to make this world of Childhood Cancer better. Until there is a cure, we committ to SHOWING LOVE to families affected by Childhood Cancer.

We are honored to offer the opportunity for you to include a BRAVE WARRIOR's name on a CCA shirt. We have included a mock-up of the shirt design. Once we have the names submitted, we will then offer the shirts for sale. We will provide 1 shirt for your Brave Warrior.

If you would like, you may then purchase additional shirts for your other family members and invite others to HONOR your kiddo by purchasing one also. You are also welcome to share this with anyone else you know that has a kiddo with cancer or is any part of their cancer journey. Submissions are open to anyone that has a child with cancer, they do not need to be a Brave Family. That said, anyone can nominate a Brave Family on our website.

Submissions Close on September 10th, 2022

ACCO proudly serves as the largest grassroots voice for children affected by cancer and the only U.S. member of Childhood Cancer International. We are dedicated to raising awareness and shaping policy at the local, state, and federal levels to make childhood cancer a health priority.

https://www.acco.org/takeaction/

We invite you to share these posts every day this month. It would mean so much to us and others affected by Childhood Cancer.
