ELLIE GRACE

Our story starts with Ellie Grace!

Elizabeth Grace (Ellie) is the youngest of 4 children. She was born August 13, 2013.  Family and friends all fell in love with this beautiful, healthy little girl. She was the perfect addition to the Johnson family.

In late 2015, her parents began noticing bruising on her chest and back; the bruising was a bit worrisome, but it didn’t seem to bother her. Just to be safe, they took her in to the pediatrician for a quick check-up on November 13, 2015. Life as The Johnson family knew it was forever changed.

Over the course of her 18 month journey, Ellie had two stem cell transplants, one in February and a second in July. She also underwent chemotherapy and radiation numerous times.

Ellie passed away from AML in January 2017. This is her medical journey but she was so much more than her diagnosis. She inspired so many people and we want to honor her and share her spirit through this organization. She was fun, spunky, sweet, loving, beautiful and more than her family could have ever hoped for in a daughter.
